Previous Events | Submitted by admin on December 20, 2006 - 11:55pm.
The following has been submitted by the WNY Peace Center in Buffalo: To date, approximately 2,950 US servicemen and women have died as a result of our war on Iraq. Tragically, that number is likely to grow to 3,000 sometime in the first half of January. Please join us to mourn those lost and call for the safe return of all our troops. At 6:00 pm on the day after the 3,000th death is announced, there will be a vigil to mark these deaths. The location will be Bidwell Park (Elmwood and Bidwell) in Buffalo. Note: The vigil was held January 1, 2007. |
